A woman named Hagar teaches us so much about our worth and our value to God. He reminds us that His promises to us are not hinged on our circumstances or people in our life who refuse to value us. 

Genesis 16: 13 "So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, 'You are a God of seeing.' For she said, 'Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.'
